Glass Flake Epoxy Coating is a high-performance anti-corrosive coating system formulated by incorporating micron-sized glass flakes into an epoxy resin matrix. When applied, these glass flakes align parallel to the substrate, creating a multi-layered barrier effect that significantly slows down the penetration of water, chemicals, gases, and corrosive agents.
This coating system is widely used for severe corrosion environments where conventional epoxy coatings are insufficient. Glass flake epoxy coatings are suitable for M.S. / S.S. tanks, vessels, pipelines, chimneys, scrubbers, ducts, and marine structures, and can be applied on internal and external surfaces.
Exceptional Corrosion Resistance
The glass flake structure creates a tortuous path that blocks moisture and chemical ingress, offering superior corrosion protection.
High Chemical Resistance
Resistant to a wide range of acids, alkalis, salts, solvents, and industrial chemicals, making it ideal for aggressive service conditions.
Excellent Barrier Properties
Extremely low permeability to water vapor, oxygen, and chemicals, ensuring long-term substrate protection.
High Abrasion & Wear Resistance
Glass flakes enhance mechanical strength, making the coating suitable for abrasive and erosive environments.
Strong Adhesion to Steel & Concrete
Proper surface preparation ensures excellent bonding to MS, SS, concrete, and FRP substrates.
High Build Coating System
Can be applied in thick film builds (typically 500–2000 microns) for long service life.
Thermal & Environmental Stability
Performs well under fluctuating temperatures and harsh industrial atmospheres.
Reduced Maintenance & Long Service Life
Minimizes frequent recoating and extends equipment lifecycle.
Resin Type: Epoxy (Glass Flake Reinforced)
