Home / Product Details
ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene) Coating, commonly known as Tefzel®, is a high-performance fluoropolymer coating engineered for severe chemical, thermal, and mechanical environments. ETFE combines excellent chemical resistance with higher mechanical strength and abrasion resistance than many other fluoropolymers, making it ideal where durability and flexibility are both required.
ETFE coatings are applied to M.S./S.S. pipes, fittings, valves, tanks, ducts, scrubbers, heat-exchanger parts, and structural components to provide a seamless, non-porous protective barrier against corrosive chemicals, permeation, and environmental attack—both internally and externally.
Outstanding Chemical Resistance
Resistant to a wide range of acids, alkalis, solvents, oxidizers, and chlorinated media.
High Mechanical Strength & Abrasion Resistance
Tougher than PTFE/FEP in many applications; resists wear, impact, and handling damage.
Wide Temperature Capability
Continuous service typically up to 150–170 °C, with excellent low-temperature toughness.
Low Permeability
Provides a dense barrier that minimizes gas and chemical permeation, extending equipment life.
Smooth, Non-Stick Surface
Reduces fouling, scaling, and product build-up; easy to clean and maintain.
Strong Adhesion & Seamless Finish
Fusion-bonded application delivers uniform thickness and reliable long-term adhesion.
UV & Weather Resistance
Suitable for outdoor installations, coastal and industrial atmospheres.
Long Service Life, Low Maintenance
Reduces recoating frequency and lifecycle costs.

Finish: Smooth, pinhole-free, seamless
Chemical & Petrochemical Plants
Pipes, valves, tanks, scrubbers, and ducts handling aggressive chemicals and fumes.
Chlor-Alkali & Oxidizing Services
Systems exposed to chlorine compounds and oxidizers require low permeation.
Water & Wastewater Treatment
Equipment exposed to disinfectants, corrosive dosing chemicals, and harsh effluents.
Power Plants
Flue-gas ducts, scrubbers, and cooling-water components.
Oil & Gas
Corrosion protection for specialty components and process equipment.
Pharmaceutical & Specialty Chemicals
Clean, non-contaminating surfaces with strong durability.
Outdoor / Coastal Installations
Excellent resistance to UV, humidity, and salt spray.
