FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) Coating is a high-performance fluoropolymer coating that combines the excellent chemical resistance of PTFE with the advantage of melt-processability, allowing it to form smooth, non-porous, and pinhole-free coatings. FEP coatings provide outstanding protection against corrosion, chemical attack, sticking, and fouling, making them ideal for aggressive chemical and high-purity applications.
FEP coating is commonly applied on M.S. / S.S. pipes, fittings, valves, tanks, agitators, baskets, heat exchangers, fasteners, and process equipment used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and specialty industries. Compared to PTFE, FEP offers better film continuity and transparency, which helps in inspection and cleanliness-critical services.
Excellent Chemical Resistance
Resistant to most acids, alkalis, solvents, and corrosive chemicals, similar to PTFE.
Smooth, Non-Porous & Non-Stick Surface
Prevents material build-up, scaling, and contamination, ensuring easy cleaning.
Melt-Processable Fluoropolymer
Allows uniform, pinhole-free coating with excellent film integrity.
Good Transparency
Semi-transparent coating enables visual inspection of the substrate and cleanliness.
Wide Temperature Performance
Suitable for continuous service up to 200°C.
Low Coefficient of Friction
Reduces wear, galling, and torque in moving or contact components.
Strong Adhesion & Uniform Thickness
Ensures long-lasting protection and consistent coating quality.
High Purity & Non-Contaminating
Ideal for pharmaceutical, food, and specialty chemical processes and cleanliness-critical services.
