Home / Product Details
PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) Coating is a premium fluoropolymer coating that combines the exceptional chemical resistance of PTFE with the advantage of melt-processability similar to FEP. This allows PFA to form a dense, non-porous, pinhole-free coating with excellent adhesion and long-term durability.
PFA coatings are widely used on M.S. / S.S. tanks, pipes, fittings, valves, agitators, heat exchangers, baskets, screws, and critical process equipment operating in highly corrosive, high-purity, and high-temperature environments. Due to its superior film integrity and higher temperature capability, PFA is often preferred for severe chemical and pharmaceutical applications.
Outstanding Chemical Resistance
Resistant to almost all acids, alkalis, solvents, oxidizers, and aggressive chemicals, similar to PTFE.
Non-Porous & Pinhole-Free Coating
Melt-processable nature allows formation of a continuous, impermeable barrier against corrosion and permeation.
Higher Temperature Capability
Suitable for continuous service up to 260°C, making it superior to FEP and ETFE in high-temperature applications.
High Purity & Non-Contaminating
Ideal for pharmaceutical, API, semiconductor, and specialty chemical industries where contamination control is critical.
Smooth, Non-Stick Surface
Prevents fouling, scaling, and product build-up; easy to clean and maintain.
Low Coefficient of Friction
Reduces wear, galling, and torque in moving or contact components.
Excellent Adhesion & Film Integrity
Ensures long service life even under thermal cycling and aggressive chemical exposure.
Long Maintenance Cycles
Reduced recoating frequency lowers downtime and lifecycle costs.
