Home / Product Details
ECTFE Coating, commonly known by the trade name Halar®, is a high-performance fluoropolymer coating designed for extreme corrosion, permeation, and chemical resistance. It is especially suited for environments where conventional epoxy, rubber lining, or even PTFE coatings may fail.
ECTFE coatings form a dense, non-porous, and highly adherent barrier on metal substrates such as Mild Steel (MS), Stainless Steel (SS), and aluminum, offering outstanding protection against strong acids, alkalis, solvents, oxidizing chemicals, and corrosive fumes. Due to its excellent barrier properties, ECTFE is widely used for internal and external coating of tanks, vessels, pipes, ducts, scrubbers, and process equipment.
Exceptional Chemical Resistance
Highly resistant to strong acids (HCl, H₂SO₄), alkalis, chlorinated chemicals, oxidizers, and aggressive solvents.
Excellent Permeation Resistance
Very low permeability to gases and liquids, making it ideal for chlorine, bromine, and corrosive vapor environments.
Wide Temperature Capability
Suitable for continuous service up to 150°C with excellent performance at low temperatures as well.
Non-Porous & Smooth Surface
Prevents chemical absorption, scaling, fouling, and contamination.
Superior Adhesion to Metal
Strong bonding to steel surfaces ensures long-term durability without peeling or blistering.
High Abrasion & Impact Resistance
Tough coating structure resists mechanical damage during operation and handling.
Excellent Weather & UV Resistance
Suitable for outdoor applications, marine environments, and coastal installations.
Long Service Life & Low Maintenance
Extends equipment life and significantly reduces maintenance and downtime.
